Beautiful pre - 1900's Early American Pattern Glass Water Pitcher was
made first by King & Son Company in Pittsburgh PA in 1880 under
the
pattern name Lattice. Later made by U.S. Glass in 1891 under the
pattern name Diamond Bar. The water pitcher is between 115 to 126 years
old and is a large 10" high pitcher on a pedestal base. There is a
diamond design around upper rim area. There are 3 vertical diamond bars
with diamonds with crosses inside them. There is also the diamond
pattern around the pedestal base. There is a D shaped handle (see
photos for more details). There are some manufacturer's flaws which is
normal for this era of glassware. Flaws: Air bubbles and on base seam
lines, one of the three has a defect.
This pitcher is a wonderful piece of early American pattern glass that
would add to your collection. Help preserve a piece of American
History. I have tried to describe this pitcher to the best of my
ability.
