A couple that attends my church is getting married tomorrow. I am so excited for Cyndi and Charlie. They both have been married once before and have done some serious thinking about whether to get married again. Cyndi has 3 young boys and Charlie has 2 boys. This is a big step again for both Cyndi and Charlie. I know they both are ready this time. I see so much love between the two of them and towards the children. They talk about wanting one more child that God would bless them with.
I offered to make chicken salad sandwiches. Next thing I know, I making vegetable and fruit trays also. Two days ago, Cyndi called and requested peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches for the children coming including hers and Charlie’s. She also asked if I owned a punch bowl. I have several, but they were buried in the basement in some box some place if you know what I mean. So I will have to wash the bowl only, since there are small children and I do not want my cups broken. I have a complete set of cups. The bowl and cups are over 50 years old.
Somehow, I have to make all the sandwiches in the morning, so they are fresh by myself. I have any ingredients that had to be diced, chopped or sliced all prepared separately. All I have to do is mix them together and make the sandwiches and cut them in half. The vegetable have to be arranged on the serving trays and a dip container. The fruit has to be arranged on its serving tray and the fruit fluff dip put in a container in the center. I pray I have bought and prepared enough food for the wedding and get it all over to the fellowship hall across the street from my house in time. So off to sleep I go for a while. Wedding is at 10 AM.
