I am very proud of you in your efforts to quit smoking. I have quit before and I think that may be one reason I was able to quit cold turkey. That and the fact that I felt bad the first two days and didn't go outside much. Having a no smoking house also helps a lot. Though my computer is not in the house and this is where typically I would smoke a pack or two a day.
Don't beat yourself up too much if you have trouble keeping to your schedule. Nicotine is a very powerful drug which is more addictive than heroin.

Hang in there, you are not alone in this. I am struggling with this nasty addiction too. Not to mention all of the other Entrecarders that are in the process of quitting too. I have been using the magnets and they are helping but, I think that I need to add in the nicotine gum along with them? If you need to talk, you know where to find me. Just shoot me an email =)

The most effective way to quit smoking is by the use of prayer and the reading of NT scripture.
I tried everything else so I should know!
This approach get's to work by realigning one's spiritual moral-compass which helps to make a person understand that what they are doing is effectively bringing about their own death.

Thanks to a book called "Shattering your strongholds" by Liberty Savard, I managed to give up drinking and then quit smoking 3 weeks later. During that time and because of commitment to a spiritual approach, I had no cravings. Now, 3 years later, I cannot bear the smell of it.
Since then, the same book has enabled 3 of my friends to quit smoking in a very short time.

If you have an open-mind and are willing to commit to this "inner" work, you will come to experience the power of God to transform you and give you the same resolve and will to give up.

Good luck!
