The last two days, I feel like I have been running a race or a marathon. Trying to keep up with all that is going on in my life. The construction idiot crew has been inside of my house for the past two days. Today, we got our first big snow of the winter, approximately 6 inches of snow. Thought the crew would not come today and I would get some peace and quiet even though family members were home because school was closed and one could not get to work through the snowy roads.
However, they did arrive. It is unbelievable how incompetent this crew is of 3 men. I was told originally that only licensed and certified people would be working on all these repairs and improvements to my home. Finding out more each day that each one is not licensed or certified, only working under a company license. Calling the Licensing Board tomorrow.
They started two days ago tearing out the hall ceiling which needed replacing due to a previous leak around the chimney and roof. The leak had been fixed back in August by installing a new flange around the chimney. The ceiling has had two areas collapse prior to the rest being torn down by the crew. New electrical wiring has now been run to all the bedrooms and the bathroom after two days. However, the crew managed to knock the electric off in my office to my computer 4 times today. I was very concerned as my computer was on all 4 times. I did experience a blue screen with a fatal error message after the 3rd time. I don’t know what I would do without my computer. Everything seems to be running fine at this time.
I really don’t look forward to the crew returning tomorrow to track snow all over my carpets. I have asked them to knock the snow off their boots as I had done the same when they had mud on their boots. They seem to disregard my requests. Leaving outer door open to bring all the cold air in my house plus opening a window upstairs to let more cold air in. Verbally arguing loudly with each other all day long. I spoke to the crew today about the problems they are causing plus the use of profane language some of the men are speaking. I am a Christian and do not like hearing these cuss words and especially when someone uses the Lord’s name in vain. This was the finally straw that broke the camel’s back today. I had it with all of this and told the crew how I was feeling. God doesn’t expect us to be door mats just because we are Christians. We can tell them in a nice way to get our point across, but sometimes we need to take a stand!
This added stress I have been under and having to cleanup my carpet two to three times a day of debris and wipe down walls from filthy, dirty hand prints has not been good on my diabetes. I felt very sick today, my blood sugar yo-yoing again due to not eating on a regular schedule and not taking my medications and shots when I should. Will be glad when this idiot three man crew is out of my house.
It is 9 degrees outside, the snow is icy and the house is quiet at this early hour of the morning. I usually have my talk with God at this time. Guess I better get some sleep till the crew gets here in a little while.

Oh Shirley,
I feel for you going through all that trouble with those 3 men. It’s a shame how time and again people say they are licensed. I’ve learn to ask to see it and then call to check on it before any work takes place. We need stricter laws on those kind of things. It shouldn’t be taking them this long. I hope you get your well deserved peace soon!!!

What a terrible thing to be going through now with the cold, Christmas coming, your not feeling well and so much to do. I hope that your complaints about this company don’t go unheeded.
Try to take it easy on yourself and not get sick. You can vent to me. I’m starting to feel better now so it’s your turn to be able to vent!
