Lochs
of Scotland, Royal Warwick England, Loch Linnhe Blue and White Coupe
Soup Bowl.
This beautiful blue and white countryside scene of Loch Linnhe with
mountains in background, clouds, trees and bushes, a shephard and dog
leading 3 sheep down to the water. Along the upper inside area is
gorgeous floral motif pattern. There is on bottom, "LOCHS OF SCOTLAND
"LOCH LINNHE" ROYAL WARWICK (a castle with a flag with a unicorn horse,
Est. 1835) ENGLAND GENUINE HAND ENGRAVING DECORATED UNDERGLAZE
DETERGENT AND ACID RESISTING COLORS". This coupe soup bowl is 7 3/4"
across and 2" high. This bowl is in great condition for its age, except
1 chip on outside underside of rim beneath the scenery area. (See
photos). The glaze is crazed.
I have tried to describe this item to the best of my ability.
Loch Linnhe is a sea loch on the west coast of Scotland.
Loch Linnhe extends 15 kilometers and is an average of 2 kilometers
wide. It opens onto the Firth of Lorne at its southwestern end by Loch
Leven. The town of Fort William lies at the northeast end of the loch
at the mouth of the River Lochy. Loch Eil feeds into Loch Linnhe at the
latter's northernmost point.
This would make a wonderful gift or you can add this to your ROYAL
WARWICK LOCHS OF SCOTLAND Porcelain China collection.
